Structural interventions are expected in about 250 dams that are owned and operated by the DRIP Implementing Agencies. The interventions will be mainly in the form of Civil Works, and to some extent Electrical & Mechanical Works and Hydro-Mechanical Works will also be involved. To the extent possible up-gradation of existing dam instrumentations will be carried out, along with provision of additional state-of-the-art instrumentations. Based on nature of works packaging, the cost of contracts may vary substantially (say from Rs. 2 core to Rs. 20 crore). On same grounds, the number of contract packages can also be not ascertained at this stage; but, as a rough estimate the project is expected to generate the following number of contracts:
- 500 Civil work contracts
- 200 Electrical & Mechanical work contracts
- 50 Hydro-mechanical work contracts
- 20 Dam Instrumentation contracts
Notices inviting tenders (NIT) for new Works Contracts are issued by respective Implementing Agencies; as and when issued, they are also displayed under "Tenders" section of this website. Contractors, Consultants and Suppliers who wish to receive information relating to the NITs directly (through email) may enlist themselves on this website.
While every effort will be made to send a mail communication about the NITs published by different Implementing Agencies, CDSO / CWC will not be held responsible for any incorrect, incomplete or miscommunication; Contractors, Consultants and Suppliers are encouraged to visit the websites of Implementing Agencies or scrutinize the media for the information.
